Social Media Campaign Updates

During the 2011 holiday season, Shriners Hospitals for Children® participated in two voter-determined giveaways via social media: the Shane Company "We donate, you Win," and United Airlines "10 Million Charity Miles Giveaway." We are happy to report that we came in first in both of these promotions, thanks to the overwhelming support of our Shriners, staff and social media fans/followers.

Shane Company: Shriners Hospitals for Children earned 41 percent of the Facebook fan votes, resulting in an $8,200 donation to the health care system.

United Airlines: Shriners Hospitals for Children garnered 32 percent of the fan votes (89,830 votes!), among 45 worthy charities. As a result, 3 million air miles were donated to the health care system for use in transporting patients and family members to our hospitals.

Thank you to everyone who voted! See the "Have Fun with Social Networks" section of this newsletter to add us to your social networks!
