Subject:  Special Board meeting to discuss building improvements and ways to finance

·         A special communication meeting was called for Saturday, February 20th to discuss a number of issues including upcoming building improvement needs and ways to finance same.

·         The meeting followed the regularly stated breakfast meeting of the Rainbow Girls.  There were 10 members present which provided a quorum.

·         Payment for to the Rainbow Girls for breakfast was approved

·         The budget, attached, was reviewed from the last meeting and re-approved as the permanent 2010 budget.

·         The back door lock was approved to be changed to discourage renters from leaving the door unlocked.  It is now unable to remove a member’s key from the outside of the door unless the door is locked.  Cost (approved)

·         A 300 gallon garbage can was ordered to take place of our two 90 gallon buckets. (approved)

·         Moving the microphone in the North to accommodate the shorter members of the concordant bodies was approved.

·         We need contracts for future renters. Chris Coffman is looking into this form

·         Additional payments to Lindsay Smith was approved to clean the building.  (3 hours per week)

·         The following was discussed as improvements needed for the building:

·         Painting of Dining Room

·         Plumbing for Hot Water Booster for Dish Washer

·         Electrical for Hot Water booster for Dish Washer

·         Re-Covering of Kitchen Pews

·         Cabinets for Dining room to house the chairs/Tables and band equipment from the churches

·         Graffiti “proofing” of the building

·         The above projects were approved. 

·         Bob Shropshire was given the task to write the approval request
